Meet Bill
Owner, operator, and the guy who answers the phone. I run every job myself.
How EarthWorx Got Started
I grew up around heavy equipment in Pendleton County. My family has been here for generations, and I spent years working on farms, running machinery, and learning how land actually behaves — the hard way, not from a textbook. I know what Kentucky clay does after three days of rain. I know which tree species are going to fight back when you try to grind them. And I know what a property owner expects when they hire someone to clear their land.
I got tired of watching property owners around Pendleton County hire three different contractors to clear one piece of land. One crew to cut the trees. Another to haul the brush. A third to grind the stumps. Three invoices, three schedules, and a lot of wasted time. I watched it happen over and over, and I kept thinking the same thing: one machine could do all of that.
So I bought a forestry mulcher and figured out that one machine could do all of it in a single pass. Cut it, grind it, mulch it. No hauling, no burning, no waiting around for the next crew to show up. That was the whole idea behind EarthWorx, and it still is.
I started with jobs right here in Pendleton County — clearing overgrown fence rows for farmers, opening up pasture that had not been touched in 15 years, cleaning out honeysuckle thickets along creek bottoms. One neighbor told another, a farmer passed my name to a builder, and before long I was getting calls from Boone County, Grant County, and across the river into Ohio.
Today I run a New Holland C337 compact track loader with a dedicated forestry mulching head. The wide tracks keep ground pressure low so I am not tearing up your property while I clear it. I maintain my own equipment, and I know what this machine can do and what it cannot. If a job needs a chainsaw for the big stems first, I will tell you that upfront instead of trying to force the mulcher through something it should not be eating.
I am based in Demossville, Kentucky. Pendleton County. Most of my jobs are within about 45 minutes of here, which covers a good chunk of Northern Kentucky — Pendleton, Boone, Kenton, Campbell, and Grant counties — plus the Greater Cincinnati area in Ohio, including Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont counties, and the river towns on the Southeast Indiana side.
When you call (859) 710-6107, you get me. I give the estimates myself. I run the equipment myself. I do not subcontract jobs out to other crews. There is no sales team, no office manager, no call center, and no rotating roster of guys you have never met. Just me and the machines.
I carry full commercial general liability insurance and equipment insurance in all three states where I work. I follow 811 utility locate requirements on every job. I can provide certificates of insurance for builders, HOAs, and general contractors who need them. This is not a side gig — it is my livelihood, and I treat it that way.
I like running this business the way I do. You know exactly who is going to show up, what equipment is coming, and who to call if you have a question. You can hold me to what I said I would do because I am the one who said it and the one who does the work. That accountability is the whole point of being owner-operated. No one cares more about the quality of the work than the guy whose name is on the truck.
